1st Shikon Open Championships
Sunday 31st May saw the first Shikon Open Championships, at Grundy Park Leisure cente in Cheshunt.
The event has been welcomed by the WUKF as the first ever event sanctioned by them in England, and we were honoured to have athletes from three Romanian clubs, forming a squad led by Mr Livia Crisan, the General Secretary of the WUKF.
Also attending were members from Ulster Karate Federation (Mr Columba McLoughlin), Carnalea Karate (Mr David Brashaw) along with Mr J Lipinski from the School of Masters (Poland)
Hats off to the Romanian squad for their terrific haul of medals and good luck to them in the forthcoming
World Championships in Odessa, Ukraine.
